About the Strouden Park Community Centre

Our approach...

Strouden Park Community Centre has been a cornerstone of our community since 1987. In 2012, the Centre was transformed by demolishing the old building and creating a vibrant new Centre, alongside six new homes that foster connection and growth.

We warmly welcome passionate volunteers to help us transform the Centre into an extraordinary space for our community! Your creativity and talents can truly make an impact. If you’re excited to learn more and get involved, we’d love to hear from you!

Upon taking early retirement, Sue devoted her time to community service, first as a General Adviser at Citizens Advice in Poole and subsequently as a Trustee and Secretary of The Colour Works Foundation. At Strouden Park Community Centre, Sue fulfils dual responsibilities as both Trustee and Secretary/Treasurer. Her commitment to volunteerism extends further, as she also serves as Treasurer and Health & Safety Officer for the Bournemouth Branch of the Samaritans, and organises regional activities for Procter & Gamble Associates.
