Venue hire in Bournemouth at the Strouden Park Community Centre.
The Strouden Park Community Centre in Bournemouth offers three rooms for hire; The Avery Room, The Vanguard Room and The Haddon Room. The Vanguard and Haddon rooms can usually be rented as a combined space, but are also available individually depending on the type of activity.

Children’s parties are only allowed for ages 10 and under; adult parties are not permitted. We have detailed terms and conditions for anyone renting a room, which can be downloaded by clicking on the gold button below.
Note about Room Capacity
If your event includes any chairs (fully seated or mixed seated/standing), the maximum number of people allowed in the room is the theatre‑style seated capacity. The higher standing capacity applies only to standing‑only events with no chairs set out.
Avery Room
Avery Room – Room size: 9.7m x 6.4m (approx. 62m²)
Typical capacities:*
- Up to 60 seated at tables
- Up to 100 seated theatre-style
- Up to 120 standing

Vanguard Room only – Room size: 9.2m x 4.4m (approx. 40m²)
Typical capacities:*
- Up to 40 seated at tables
- Up to 70 seated theatre-style
- Up to 80 standing

Haddon Room only
Haddon Room only – Room size: 6.6m x 3.8m (approx. 25m²)
Typical capacities:*
- Up to 25 seated at tables
- Up to 40 seated theatre-style
- Up to 50 standing

Vanguard & Haddon Room combined
Vanguard & Haddon Combined Room – Room sizes:
Vanguard Room = 9.2m (length) × 4.4m (width)
Haddon Room = 6.6m (length) × 3.8m (width)
When the partition is opened, the rooms form one long rectangular space, approx 66m²
Typical capacities:*
- Up to 65 seated at tables
- Up to 120 seated theatre-style
- Up to 130 standing
